I need to replace my front driver side strut. Do I buy a shock or strut? What brand should I look at if I don't want to feel any potholes and want smooth ride on washboard?

You have struts in the front you should always replace them in pairs so your going to want to replace both front struts.My first choice would be kyb struts then Monroe struts as a second choice.As far as feeling no pot holes or smooth ride on wash board road there are no struts that I know of that will do that.
