I have been having issues with "safe" mode. Basically my car will take off feeling rather weird then the ESP light comes on, my car drops to 22kph in 4th gear (my car is semi automatic). When I apply the brake the car obiously slows down then once at a complete stop, the car will then slam into 2nd gear with a thump and the rev's go a little higher. I yesterday had the accelerator pedal replaced by holdens request, costing me $690 and it didn't fix the problem.. I am at witts end and in desperate need of figuring this out as I have a 1yr old son... PLEASE HELP!!

Did the Holden dealer run a code check? if it is not fixed they have an obligation to fix it as they have taken payment and not fixed the problem.

They did do a diagnostic test on the car and they couldn't pin point the problem.. all the did was send the information of to holden and holden replied to replace the accelerator oedal with no guarantee that it will fix the problem

Not good enough from Holden, any work shop cant take your money and leave you with hanging out high and dry, complain to GMH Australia and demand action, failing that Consumer affairs love these issues.

I have a case number with Holden, I am unsire what to do as they were the one's who said to replace that part with no guarantee that it would fix the problem. I have already spoken to consumer affairs and they stated that the dealership have done everyrhing they can and basically "my car, my problem". I have no choice but to call the finance company and see what I can do in terms of the loan, and will be calling holden.

A letter from a lawyer with a demand to refund as the problem has not been resolved, there is no way they can take so much money and say well to bad if it doesn't fix it.....

I think I will be doing everything I can with this car as I can't keep paying $88 a pop for a diagnostic test on the car and then expected to pay for any parts etc before work is done on the car

I am in Victoria, Aus. The only thing I am worried about is that because I ok'd the repair to be done and knew it would not be 100% certain to fix the issue, I am unsire I will be taken seriously about this
