No spark. There are 4, 3 wire coil packs black with white stripe is common on all the coils has 12 v when ignition is switched on black with orange stripe. also common on all coils has constant ground but the third with has no triggering signal.. I’m guessing this is the cause of the no start, but I don’t know what else to check.

Hi,

I attached a couple pics from the schematic. Pic 1 shows the coils and wiring. Pic shows how the wires go to the ECM.

Since you have power and ground, then either there is no connection at the ECM, a bad ECM, or the crank sensor may have failed.

If you have a live data scan too, check to see if there is an RPM signal when cranking. If there is a tachometer in the vehicle, see if it is moving when cranking.

Let me know.

This could be a couple things but we need to start with making sure the security light is not on or flashing. Then we need to check for codes.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

Next we need to check the crank sensor. If the above checks out then I suspect the crank sensor is the issue for no spark. However, we need to check for fuel pressure as well because if we don't have fuel or spark then the ECM may be the issue.

Let's check this out and go from there.

I got fuel pressure at the injectors, no spark and I’m no rpm when cranking. also if it’s the crank shaft sensor I would need some help finding it. Thank you

That sounds like a crank sensor. Here is a guide that covers that in more detail:

I also attached the info on this sensor from the manual. Let us know what happens.

I can’t seem to find the crank shaft sensor in that location. My engine is a j20a.

It should be behind the alternator mounted on the engine. See the attached pic.

Let us know.

Hi,

I'm having a hard time orienting myself to the pic. Just to confirm, this is a 2.4L 4 cylinder, correct?

I copied your pic and circled two things. Again, orientation is difficult when looking at your pic and the one in the manual. However, is one of the items I circled possibly what we are looking for?

Let me know.
