I bought my 09 Chevy aveo from a reputable dealer in Sept 2013. It's been running great including the A/C till last week. I thought it might be low on freon. So I had the local shop check the freon level. I was told it's suppose to read at 30 but it's reading at 60. I didn't add anything to it. The compressor clicks on when the A/C is turned on. I drove away with more questions than answers. I was thinking just let some freon out. Then my neighbor said sometimes the condenser or filter in the front gets dirty and just cleaning it might solve it. I can't find it. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow. The extended warranty I purchased with the car the Deductable is $100. Is there anything I can do that I can check and maybe save the $100? Then if no luck take it in. Thanks , jonathan

Thanks for getting back to me. It's not blowing cold at all. But you can hear the compressor click on. I don't know if it was on the.high or low readings. I don't remember them mentioning it. I was hoping it be something simple I could fix. It looks like I will have to drop it off at the dealer. But this is a great format to help people with car problems. I hope I won't need it again soon. But know where to ask in the future. Hey thanks for trying to help! Jonathan

Glad to help. Just so you know, since the pressure is high, chances are there is a clog in the system.

I dropped it off at the dealer this morning. They haven't looked at it yet. But when it's fixed I'll drop a note as to what it was.

Ya, I would like to know. If the 60psi was on the low side, my guess is the receiver dryer.
