the screen and backup camera goes on and off and sometimes stays off but all audio still works im confused

Check electrical connections, especially grounds.

Here is the schematic for the camera circuit. It is broken up into 2 screen shots so you can get a better look at it. If you have an image manipulation program, such as Photoshop, increase the image size and print them.
