I have a 2008 Mercury Sable with remote start (mercury accessory, not aftermarket.)

For some reason now, it goes through all the motions except for the actual starting of the engine. I push the button, the horn honks, doors lock, dash lights come on, where it normally starts, it does nothing, then the exterior lights come on. All is normal but it seems to not realize it's not running.

Then when i get inside, the alarm light is blinking like crazy fast. And it won't start unless I hit the remote start button again to shut it "off". Very strange.
