A/C not blowing cold air

This could be a coincidence as you don't have to open the A/C system to do the radiator.

However, we need to start with checking the pressures and pull the system into a vacuum to see if there are leaks.

Let us know what the pressure is when the engine is off and then when it is running and A/C on max.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Our navigator has a tow package with a transmission cooler. The A/C system was purged, refilled and checked twice. Both readings (both high and low sides) were in spec. Mechanic mentioned we might need a new fan clutch. Just seems odd that A/C was perfect until new radiator was put in. Taking navigator back to mechanic tomorrow but hate to put in another $400.00+ for the fan clutch. Was hoping there was something minor that they may have missed when doing the radiator work.

I would press this a little bit and just ask what the pressures were when the compressor is on and off. Then with the engine off.

I agree that this a bit of a large coincidence so just knowing those pressures and that the system is working would make more sense that a faulty fan is causing this.

However, a fan would more likely cause overheating before it would cause A/C issues. This just sounds like it is low on Freon.

If it were me, I would rent a gauge set from the parts store and hook them up to see what they are.

Just wanted to let you know the outcome ... mechanic went out and bought new gauges. Found out they were faulty. A/C only needed more freon. Everything working perfectly. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Thanks! It sounded like a Freon issue so that is great they found that as it is not the first thing you think of as you assume your tool is ok.
