When rotating tires is there a particular place where the value stem should be located on the hub 2008 Kia Optima. The TPMS light is staying on after I rotated the tires. Was not on before rotating.

Are you seeing a picture of a tire or the word TPMS?

That means there is a trouble code stored and you will need a TPMS scanner to read the code.

Will it hurt to drive it until I can take care of the problem?

No, your tire monitoring system has been disabled in the meantime.
