throttle unresponsive after engine rebuilt with a used crankshaft from the scrapyard.
Engine started giving a heavy sound. Mechanic said it was a big end bearing, so the engine was dismantled. Crank journal No 5 was worn out beyond grinding range and new crankshaft not available, so we took one from the scrapyard and assembled the engine. When the engine was started it was not smooth, so the mechanic said we change the cam sensor after which the engine ran smooth at idle but will not respond to the throttle.
We have had it checked by a computer guy, he said the electronic side was showing no problem. Please help.

Have it scanned for stored trouble codes. There may be an issue with the electronic throttle control.
