My car makes a creaking grinding noise with any turning or uneven movement of car. The noise appears to be louder over time of approximately 1 month. The brakes are working fine. There doesn't seem to be any pull on steering wheel when turning steering wheel

Hello,

This sounds like you are having a problem with the front struts and mounting plates on the top of the struts. These parts wear which causes the noises you are describing.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

I recently had a real bad grinding noise. So we changed my pads all were good besides my rear. We changed them all. Well recently it started again he changed the same pad because it was worn down, but now it is still making the noise after he changed it. What could it be?!

ASSUMING YOU USED THE CORRECT PADS AND THEY WERE INSTALLED CORRECTLY

DID YOU RESURFACE THE ROTORS OR BUY NEW ONES?

COULD THIS BE A WHEEL BEARING ISSUE AND NOT BE THE BRAKES AT ALL?

Noises problem
2007 Ford Fusion Front Wheel Drive Automatic 58,000 miles

I've recently noticed that when it's very cold out and I'm driving my Fusion, if I take a left hand turn I can hear what sounds like a loud clicking/grinding type noise. More clicking though I'd say. This generally only happens when I turn left, though I have started to hear very faint when I turn right. I've also noticed that it only makes the noise if I am stepping on the gas while I am turning. If I am just coasting through the turn, there is no noise. Once the care warms up, I don't hear the noise at all.

I'm not sure if this is common or if I should be getting in to my mechanic to have it checked out. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated!!

Steering problem
2006 Ford Fusion 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 134000 miles

Have had grinding at the front of my car when I was braking and turning. Thought it was my brakes and had them replaced. Still have the grinding. Notice it's when I turn slowly. It feels like metal on metal grinding. What would this be from?

Have you checked the wheel bearings? Also, check the backing plate behind the brake rotor. They can get bent and rub the rotor.

Let me know what you find.

Noises problem
2006 Ford Fusion 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 58000 miles

I have had a problem since I have owned my Fusion. In the morning doing a cold start(I live in Hawaii) about 2-3 seconds after the car starts the air conditioner starts and makes a horrible grinding noise. Then for the rest of the day it never happens again. I tried multiple times to take it to ford with no luck. What can I do to solve this problem?

Started about 2 weeks ago after big rain...started hearing a grinding noise..like how a pulley sounds when it needs lubricant...but when I would get up to 55/60 it would stop..no warning lights ever flashed or came on!!This went on for a few days it stopped, then started back about 3 days ago..then yesterday my husband drove it to corner store ..about 1/2 mile from our house.he said when he pulled up and put car in park the car made a loud bang...like something broke a loose...he cranked it back up and car made a loud banging noise all way back to our house and car wouldn't go but 30/35 mph???Still no service engine lights or anything...

check under the hood for something caught in belt drive. Doe it do this while sitting still an in neutral or park? it may have had something caught in engine or a shield loose or something similar. this should definitely be physically looked at as soon as possible. something may have broken
