clicking sound from under dash?

Ford Taurus X 2008. When heat is turned on there is a loud clicking sound from under the dash. It has happened while driving and while in park. I have not tried it in accessory mode. When I tried to work on it and get the clicking noise to top. it is actually a Taurus X, but is probably exactly like a Freestyle.

More then likely this is a mode door actuator that is part of the HVAC system. These are there to move the door to direct the air to the position it needs to like the floor, vents, or defrost.

I attached below the specific information on this door. Clearly this clicking could be a different actuator but the fact that you say it is in the center of the dash then this is most likely the one that is clicking.
