i have 2008 dodge charger. i ve been have transmission problem for the past 9 months, that no one can figure out,: Problem, it feels as if have a loose transmission.#1 driving car criusing and accelarate slowly, it feels like transmission gets disconnected, and get vibration under my foot and to the steering wheel, unless i step on the gas hard and it picks up again.#2. slowing down very slowely, at times makes the vibration under my foot and to the steering wheel again.#3 this is at all speeds after the first shift. #4 ever since, the car consumes twice the amount of gas than before.#5,. the car still shifts perfect at all speeds and strong, no slipping at all, as long i press harder on the gas.#6, things have been checked: transmission mount, the reported(dealer) it was ok. MAIN problem: can't cruise in the car properly. please help.

this should still be under warranty. if the dealer can't fix it call chrysler.....

no warranty, i moved overseas and imported the car with me. i hardley driven the car, neither have i ever raced it either. no accedents at all, this happened out of the blue. when the symptoms occur, it makes a grinding noise from the bottom for a few seconds, thats when it vibrates,then it stops. this is when accelerating slowely, or coming to a stop slowely. if you accelarate hard enough ,its fine,,. if you stop (brake) quickely, no problem.

this trans will have to have ascan on it to see what is wrong electrically . It sounds as if it's a shift valve problem that will show up on a scan. You need a pro model to see what the code is. you should be able to go to anypplace that repairs cars as the connector is worldwide and everyone uses the same one (scanner) At least that would let you know where to look. make sure to check all your conections at the trans as you could have a broken wire/ bad connection or a bad ground.
