service 4 wheel drive light comes on occasionally what could be the problem?

service 4 wheel drive light comes on when the light comes on selector switch will not change from auto to any other selection unless you turn the ignition off for a few minutes then every thing back to nornal until service 4 wheel light comes on again

I have seen the main control switch go out and cause this problem, something inside the switch gets reset when the power is cycled. Here is how to change the switch out and fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
