You will have to remember your milage and take it to a dealer to program it in. Some that sell or rebuild these units can do it when you order it.

Dash removal is not an easy job and for the sake of cleaning, I would not want to attempt it as it involves a lot of removal, including disconnecting wireharness etc. If the job is not done correctly, you would likely be causing a lot of unnecessary trouble shooting later.

I am trying to access the cup holder for removal. I want to be certain I don't break the dash panels. They appear to be held on by a series of screws and clips.
Thanks,

I am trying to repair or replace the existing factory cup holder. The swingout for the 2nd cup became jammed and I removed it. The cup holder was then stuck 'out'. It got pushed in and is now stuck in. The cup holder will only move in and out about 1 inch. I am trying to access the cup holder track so I can repair or replace it.
Thanks

that particular dash in the center section snaps together, make sure you remove the glove box door first, so you don't break the little hinge that's connected to the center section, the instrument cluster cover is held on with 4 torx screws

Would like to find out the proper steps for removal and replacement of a complete dashboard? I am removing the complete dash because it is cracked and unserviceable. Also, after being in storage there could and probably is some mouse nests behind which need to be removed?

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove center trim panel next to the compartment door by lifting from the bottom.
3. Glove Box.
? Remove the bolt attaching the lower left part of the glove box door to the carrier.
? Remove glove box door.

? Remove interior glove box.
4. Ash tray assembly.
? Open ash tray.
? Remove screws holding assembly to the carrier.
? Disconnect wiring from the back of the assembly.

5. Instrument panel.

? Pull bezel slightly away from assembly – reach behind and disconnect headlamp switch connectors (2)
? Disconnect cargo lamp connector (if present)
? Remove Bezel

? Remove 4 screws retaining the radio control
? Pull control slightly away from assembly – reach behind and disconnect wiring connector(s)
? Remove radio control

Instrument Cluster
? Disconnect shift indicator cable (connects to steering column) from behind cluster

Instrument Panel Pod and Trim

19. Disconnect Harness

? Remove harness from loom behind carrier (accessed through glove box and area covered by center trim panel)

note: As an alternative, the wiring harness can be removed with the carrier, however, this approach requires disconnection of the convenience center through the firewall on the left side of the cab, the connection to the HVAC harness attached to the heater/AC box, and connections to the engine compartment through the right side of the cab.

I suggest you take pictures with your phone or camera during the process, it helps with reassembly.

The connectors and wire color should make identification rather easy.

You would have to recheck the wires and also ground circuit connections.
