You have two fuse boxes. One in the engine compartment on the left and one behind the left rear quarter panel here is a guide and the fuse locations below.

I've been getting O2 sensor codes for almost a month now. CEL is on. Codes are: P0036, P0141 and P0054. I've had my O2 sensor replaced (twice now). AC Delco is in there right now (bank 1 sensor 2). I took it to a shop and they said there's no battery voltage at the O2 sensor fuses/circuit inside the fuse box. He said the wiring "visually looks fine" and that I need a new fuse box. Does this sound right? He said the circuit inside the fuse box is what gives power to the O2 sensor wiring. The battery had the normal 12 volts. I just want to make sure this is even possible since I've already put about $1,000 in my car within the last month. I just don't want to get a new fuse box put in for $300 more and find out it was something else.

It's possible. Test for power on both sides of the :POST 02" fuse in the undehood fuse box.

Thanks! He highlighted on the diagram where there's no battery voltage - Emission 1 and Post O2. He said there's a third area he couldn't test - Power distribution schematics - that could also be bad. I just wanted to make sure this would be possible before sinking more money into this thing. I've spent at least $500 on things people told me I need and it didn't fix anything.

It is possible but there are other fuses that feed these that could also be burnt.

The mechanic told me that there's no voltage at the circuit for the O2 sensor inside the actual fuse block and that the heater circuit that goes to my O2 sensor gets its power from the circuit inside the block. He said he was 100% sure but I wanted to be sure it could actually be the block itself before replacing it.

should have another one under front end of the center console, under the dash. as well as one in the trunk of your car. remove the trunk panel on the driver's side of cargo area to access it.

I have an 2005 Malibu LS 3.5L which recently had 30 minutes of downpour rain into the car as all the windows were down. Ever since, there is a rapid clicking sound coming from the front fuse box(relay?) Removing the low/hi beam relays stops the clicking. The battery seems to drain due to this. The battery is a 3yr old Interstate which has been problem free until now. Could getting the interior totally soaked have made something in the car short out? Will air drying eventually fix this problem or do I have bad relays? Any help is appreciated!

Of course it could and continuing to drive it can cause a lot of damage. There are numerous modules, relays and connectors that will short out. Whay you need to do ASAP is remove all the seats and the carpet. It may already be too late for the carpet. The padding under the carpet will grow mold and mildew almost right away. The only way to save that carpet is to get it out, pressure clean it and leave it in the sun until totally dry and all the components in the car dry out also.

How do you get into the engine compatment fuse box. I've located it but there are no direction in the manual for opening it and I don't want to break it by forcing it.Thank you 1

On the malibu the cover for the fuse box should have a flower shaped screw on the top.

I need to know what are the proper relays for each position in the fuse box. I can't trust that we have the right ones in any position. There are a mix of after-market relays and we were given a different relay as a replacement in two positions leaving me not able to trust any of them and would like to know what the proper parts are for each position of the fuse box. After that maybe safe substitutes. Our 2002 Malibu running hot and neither radiator fan comes on with a/c or not. Replaced heat sensor. Fans come on when sensor unplugged. Used to run at one notch above 1/4 gauge, now just above or below half a notch half a gauge. Believe we need to replace thermostat and flush radiator, and are going to. We just need to eliminate any possible relay issue. All fuses are good. My Son and I would appreciate any help, it's our only vehicle right now. Thank you.

Are you talking about under the hood or interior? If you have an owners manual, it should have that info.

Just to add. Note underhood fuse block. Relay # 12--14--15, radiator fan relays.

Did you check for applicable trouble codes? Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free.

I would double check the engine temp in degrees F. Some fans may not kick on till about 220 degrees F. I tried to find that temp spec in our database for your vehicle, so far I haven't found it?

An infra red temp gun will give temp read-out in degrees F.

Where is the stereo fuse on a 2001 chevy malibu, I was installing a new stereo in my car and forgot to disconnect the battery terminal and hit wires together and they smoked so im sure its the fuse but i cant find it. Checked the driver side door fuse box and under the hood and none of those are blown.

I accidentally moved my drivers seat up too far and the circuit breaker tripped. I am not sure how to reset it can you tell me how?

Thermal circuit breakers reset automatically after a minute or two.

Moving the seat will not cause the circuit breaker to trip. Inspect the wiring under the seat to see if the harness is being tugged on or a wire has rubbed through and is grounding out against something metal.

we have a temperature guage that has been working intermittenly we want check fuses but do not have a schematic for the fuse box

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the entire relay fuse center box from the under hood location? Not the cover, the entire box!

Disconnect and remove the battery.
Remove air cleaner cover and disconnect from intake.
Remove air cleaner box lower section.
Fuse box slides on rails but is held in place underneath by a plastic clip. Use flat head screwdriver under the box to pry up the clip then slide the fuse box out toward front of vehicle.

You have to remember that even when these boxes are not bolted, the wiring harness prevents it from moving much at all.
