im having trouble locating the positive terminal on my alternator. im wondering where it is, how and whats the best way to get to it?

on the back of the alternator will have a single cable going to it with a rubber insulator over it

ok thank you! one last question, im adding a 4gauge wire to it, so is it a bolt that i need to remove or is it like a cap that just pulls off, i dont want to break anything

no it is a bolt with a nut on it and an eyelet.

ok so you said it has a rubber insulator over it... do i pull off the rubber insulator and then should just be able to twist off the bolt holding the eyelet? or is the bolt on the outside that i have to unscrew?

te bolt is atually a stud and a 10 mm nut remove the rubber boot remove the nut remove and cap wire disconnect batt first
