Would you know the cause

My 08impala has been making a loud whining noise at the start of the car and as I make turns until I drive it for awhile. Power steering fluid levels are ok

Have you checked the alternator? If you remove the serp belt does the sound go away? NOTE: If you remove the serp belt, only run the vehicle for a few seconds with the belt off.
