ARGH! My father always said "pay less, get less". And with my 2008 Chevy Aveo, that is the TRUTH. I have 40385 miles on my Chevy Aveo when I notice the temp is warm, but there is no heat. I add coolant and determine that the radiator is leaking. I pull out the radiator only to find that the vertical passenger side of the fan shroud was pressed up against the radiator causing it to rub through after 40K miles (just out of the 36K warentee period, way to go GM, you timed that just right). Has anyone else seen this same failure? I am hoping I can get this radiator repaired. I used the dremel to rework the fan shroud so it no longer rubs the radiator. (FYI, GM, this is called "clearance". You all should think about doing a tolerance stackup in the future) I'd say "I'll never buy a GM product again". But, come on. I paid 4500 for this car, what do you expect?
