rack & pinion steering

I have a 2008 Cadillac DTS that needs to have its rack and pinion steering replaced. How much should this cost and would it be covered under warranty? It is a leased car which ends February 2011

it depends if you got the extended warranty and whether or not you haven't gone past themileage. EVen if you have sometimes the manufacturere will split the cost if you complain. otherwise you are looking at about $1000=1100 to fix it.
