My mechanic installed a secondary air injection pump on my 2007 Saturn Ion 2 (2.2L) I ordered the part from a web site part store.

The problem is this: It sounds like marbles banging around in a coffee can on cold starts. The mechanic thinks that although it seems to be working, there still may be a defect in the pump.

Do you think the noise will disappear at some point or should I return the part?
