Today I went to switch my airflow from cabin air to defrost when it suddenly jammed, and now will not turn more than one selection (cabin to cabin/feet) and the air only comes into the cabin. WIth winter coming soon in the northeast and extremely tight budget, what are my options for fixing this myself, or at least switching it manually to permanently go to defrost. The temp knob is working correctly so far.
Is there a way to remove the cover and move the cable, door etc so that I can have defroster for winter? This is our only car, and we can not afford expensive repairs and it will be a few more years before we can replace the car.
