ignition coil pack 2-5 is not firing. I swap all coils around and all of them fire, Just not the middle one. I checked volt for crank sensor to the icm. At the icm wire P has battery volt. Wires H&G when turning the engine by hand clockwise has 6 volts. Wire N has 11.9 volts. Checked for good ground on wire K. Checked ok. Only code is P0300. Only problem I was having with the car before all this was the charging system failure and battery saver mode was on. New battery and retested ok. Charging system at battery is 14.1 volt. Any suggestion? Note it was slightly bumped in the L front corner.

it really sounds like you need a new ignition control module. its the flat thing under the coil packs

i have a 2005 pontiac grand prix 3.8l. with 205k miles ont. if the ignition control module is bad can it cause it to throw emission fault codes? it brings up code.. P0420 – Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
it also has a ignition module code that comes and goes

If there's problem with the ICM I don't think it will start and also won't throw an emission code/s

Start checking the oxygen sensor/s and the catalytic converter
