vibrations / shudders in steering whell

just purchased used
2.4L G6 2007
vibrations start @ 50 mph +
car rides straight does not pull
no vibration in brakes
also on right turns when wheel comes back to original position there is a slight clunk heard

tires in front are both different brands
tires in back are same brand but different from front

first try switching tires form front to back. Tires cause a lot of trouble like you are experiencing. then have them checked for balance. if the vibration goes away then you have solved your problem. It also may be due tot he different brand/tread pattern of the front tires. Otherwise it's going to be maybe an axle shaft problem or possible motor/trans mount problem.
