When I travel uphill on medium to larger hills my car slows down a bit. I'm still able to make the hills but I have to step on the gas however on a downhill I press on the break pedal and a grind noise happens. On flat roads my acceleration is great. Could it be a faulty spark plug or fuel filter needing to be changed or might I need to use fuel injector cleaner to get more gas flow? The problem first started when my wife and I took a trip and there were lots of hills that were medium size to large size.

scan for codes and check fuelpressure with a gauge autoparts rent it. it may be just because it's a 4 cylinder
