2007 Pontiac G5 Help with my tires

I bought 4 low profile tires off Kijiji because I wanted the rims. I heard Pontiac g5s fit 17" rims so that's what I got. Will these fit perfectly and not ruin my car? 215/40R17
Please help, I need to buy new tires but I wouldn't wanna buy tires that don't even fit!
I went to Canadian tire and they weren't much help. It's a sedan by the way.

you wll have to check to see what kind of clearance there is once the tire is on. they may fit but whether they hit anything when turning completely or going over bumps will be the problem.

So I'm guessing you have no idea? I've tried them on & they fit but the only thing I am concerned of is if they will rub

I can't see them on the computer so that is what I advised is to check to see if they rub.

I tried one on just now and they fit perfectly and didn't seem to rub so I think I should be okay
