Hello my transmission is slipping. The place I got it from put the wrong fluid in it so I'm told. And they had to take it to Nissan and get it flushed. But the slipping hasn't stopped. Now it wasn't as bad I could drive for awhile then it would start. But if I turned the truck off a few seconds then I could drive it again. Now it's doing it a lot worse. And if I stop and turn it off then back on I can only go maybe a mile before the slipping starts back up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

go to the place that put the wrong fluid in and tell them they need to rebuild the trans or pay for it.

unfortunately you should have a trans guy do that because we can't scan it nor see it. However I imagine with the wrong fluid it has eaten the clutch plates up and or the seals that operate the clutch paks inside transmission. those are the wear parts anyhow. Partly due to the advanced mileage on truck. next I would call Nissan's 800 number and complain to them and see if they will do anything about it. They may as it was dealer's mistake and they should be liable. Hopefully you still have the receipt from work done.

I have this exact same problem with my 2005 titan. It happened at a store and I drove it 7 miles with it going maybe 50 yards then slipping out and I'd shut it off for a second and restart and it would go about 50 yards. It took me forever to get back to the house. IDK if it's the clutch plates or some sensor but I guess I'm about to find out. Mine is just an old work truck now and has about 260,000 miles on it. Great truck but this is obviously a problem. Did you ever find out the specific issue with yours?

It sounds like the clutches are worn out, did you check the fluid level ?
