I have a 2007 Nissan Altima that is having some issues with the blower motor when used for heat. The engine warms in a timely manner but the blower fan doesn't kick in for an extended amount of time. I can let the car warm up for 30 minutes and the fan will still not kick in for a little bit longer than that. Once the fan kicks in the heat works just fine. I guess my question is, do I replace the blower motor resistor or the blower motor itself?

if it's auto temp control where you set the temp then you'll need it scanned to see what is wrong. If it is manual like hot and cold then check the relay in fuse block behind lh side of dash . also check ground for blower and relay on lh side of dash. it may need scanning as it may be another problem.
