How do I fix the brakelights?

Ive got a 2007 jeep liberty. The brakelights are out. I tried the bulbs, the fuses and replacing the brakelight switch. I can't seem to find a solution.

test for power to the switch first. if there is not, there there is a supply issue to the switch. if there is, verify power on the other wire by pushing on the pedal. if the is, then the issue is in the back of the jeep. if there is not, the switch is bad.
