2007 Jeep Commander keeps stalling randomly. There have been times when I've been getting ready to go on the freeway and all of a sudden there is no pick up when stepping on the gas and the vehicle will stall (the check engine light will also come on). When I pull over and restart the vehicle everything will be ok. It seems to happen a lot when making left hand turns. Any insight on what this could be.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on

I had the car scanned for codes at Autozone and nothing showed. I was thinking about having the battery tested, along with the starter. If either one of these things are bad, could this possibly be a cause of the problem.
