How do you remove the driver air bag? I've already disconnected the battery, and I'm not replacing the airbag, just the turn indicator switch. Ijust need to know how to access and release the fasteners. Thanks for your help!

Does the airbag just snap in place with friction clips? All that's needed is a straight push, no insertion or twisting of the tool to release a clip? Am I looking for a slot into which the tool fits, push against a clip tang, or just anywhere that the tool contacts the back of the airbag housing? Thanks again.

i'm pretty sure it hits against where the arrows are in pic but NEVER use anything sharp in an airbag.

I've got to have more specific information. I managed to get my hands on the tool. I've inserted it into the slot. It goes in about 3 inches, and there doesn't seem to be much room that would allow it to go in a different place or position. I've tried pushing straight outward, twisting, and levering both up and down to release the tab, but can't get anything to happen.

this is all we get we dont' get a lot of info from jaguar
Using the special tool remove the driver air bag module.
Rotate the steering wheel for access to slots.
Carefully release the 2 clips.
Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
you may have to pull a little to get the air bag to release.
