When you turn on the A/C your placing an extra load on the engine. Maybe your ignition system/fuel system can't handle it.

Is there a check engine light on? If so, have the computer scanned and send me the codes.

Also, when was your last tune up?

You should check your air filter, spark plugs/wires (and quality of spark) and fuel filter/fuel pump for problems.
