See if you can operate it manually, if the struts do not support it, then at least one has lost charge.

ok...yes the door opens manually however, its very heavy and I need to hold it up. How do I determine which strut is bad? Are the struts easy to install? I assume I can get a new strut at Autozone?

About the only way, other than sign of leakage, is raise the gate and support it with a piece of wood or something. Remove one at a time and manually compress them. It may be obvious which one is faulty, if it is hard to discern I would replace them both. As far as autozone, they might have them, or can get them.

As far as the struts, I(we) do not sell them. There might have been a miscommunication. By saying 'can get them' I meant autozone. If they needed to be ordered, for instance.
