very mild oil coating noted at top end of strut. Is this normal for mileage & age of vehicle ?
no change in strut performance

If this is at the top of the body where the shaft comes out, a little seepage is not uncommon. You have a problem when you see oil running down the side or when there's a lot of dirt stuck to that oil and it's shiny from more oil running over it.
