Hi, i have a 2007 v6 automatic mustang with the pony package. I bought it used with 3000 miles on it and when they handed me the keys there was an extra remote on it that I researched and found out was a romote start. I have been trying to get it to work for many months. I looked under the dash and there is a black box the says "Ford Motor Company" automatic start that is wired into the car. When i push the start button on the remote, all of the electronics turn on, then it honks 5 times then turns back off.

I really need to get this to work. The dealer said that it would take 100$ for any dealer to look at.

You disconnect the wire to reach base timing
When the wire is connected PCM is in control of the timing and it does advance it as needed
After base timing is set wire should be plugged back in
