I have a Ford Fiesta 2007 1.25 petrol manual.
The gear selector cable enters the transmission at the top front and is secured by a plastic locking ring. How do I release this locking ring. I have tried everything and can not get it to release. It seems to have four gaps in the locking ring/cap 90 degrees apart.
