Something is causing the ABS to be actuated. If the light is on, have the computer scanned to determine where the problem is coming from. It sounds like you may have a wheel speed sensor that is out. These videos will help us find the problem.

My ABS light is on steady, and my 4WD light flashes 8 times intermittently. When I start the vehicle, and shift into drive, if I accelerate and turn my wheel (like pulling out of a parking spot) my rear wheels bind up, and then clunks as they release. After they release, there isn't any more binding or clunking, but the lights stay on.

We need to start with getting codes for the ABS light. Without the codes we are just guessing. Make sure the code reader is able to read ABS codes or it will come back with no codes.

Let me know what they are and we can go from there.

Had my ABS light come on last night. Nothing else, just the light. The system was not functioning. (It had just snowed here in WI so I was able to test that out pretty quickly). Otherwise the brakes were functioning normally.

ABS light was off this morning at startup, came back in about 2 minutes ~3-4 brake applications. After shutdown and restart (daycare dropoff) the light has not come back on.

I love intermittent problems.
I had the rotors and pads replaced last Nov., along with tie rod ends.

VISUAL INSPECTION
Verify customer concern by operating system.
Ensure master cylinder reservoir is full and parking brake is fully released. Inspect HCU, ABS relay, brake position switch, wheel speed sensors and brake lines for damage. Inspect wheel bearings for looseness or damage. Repair items as necessary. Ensure all ABS system fuses are okay. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Check ABS warning indicator bulb. Check for damage to wiring harness. Check for loose or corroded connectors. Make necessary repairs.
Inspect parking brake cable or wear or damage. Inspect tire pressure, and tire size or mismatched tires.
Inspect maxi-fuse No. 24 (60-amp) and mini-fuse No. 14 (25-amp) in battery junction box. Inspect fuses No. 5 (5-amp) and 24 (15-amp) in central junction box.
If problem remains after inspection, retrieve trouble codes. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If DTCs are retrieved, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE INDEX table. Perform appropriate test. If no DTCs related to concern are retrieved, see SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS . If ABS control module cannot be accessed using scan tool, see appropriate MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
