Last week the car started spitting and spuddering and slowly came to a stop and wouldn't start again. Ford house said the fuel pump was bad. $700 and 3 days later it did the same thing again. Now they said that they found the wire that goes to the inertia switch unplugged. I asked how that happened and they said that I must have unplugged it. REALLY!! ME? How about your tech unplugged it and didn't plug it back in all the way back in. This time it only cost me $241. My question is: Would the tech unplug the inertia switch to install a fuel pump? And can I unplug the wire and still be able to drive over a mile before dying?
