Quick Fix or Headache?

My cousin just purchased a 2007 PT Cruiser and had a transmission installed before driving from TX to KC. Car drove like a new car on the trip, however the other day I had some antifreeze leak out of the vent and on to my foot. I am wondering if something could have been left loose or come loose from the transmission install or if the heater core has went out and if so where is the heater core located?

Most likely heater core. I have attached a picture. Drain the radiator, remove the heater hoses from the core on the bulkhead between engine and passenger compartment. Access the heater box and open the box(clips or banjo bail). Pull the core out and reverse the process.
