car was brought in, it died on the highway, hooked computer to vehicle, computer said crankshaft position sensor, we replaced the sensor and the car is starting and is very hard to start, the computer is still saying crankshaft position sensor. pulled starter, starter was bad, replaced starter, still hard to start but it will start with starting fluid and stay running. computer also throwing misfires replaced plugs, which were bad. when starting it is very hard to start like it is starving for fuel, but once it gets started it stays running.... so next step fuel, there is power going to the pump and it is kicking off and on. I would like to know if the regulator is part of the fuel pump as well or a separate entity?
