Seal leaking after replacing gear oil, plus more noise after it was done. Was not leaking when I did the service, but I know the fluid was low. Can replacing the gear oil blow out the seals? Also it calls for synthetic 75w/90, but what happens if you use 80w/90? I live in southeast so temperatures are not that much of a factor. I just need what is the potential issues.

check for a blocked vent on axle that will blow seals it goes up cross member. the other you should use as it's synthetic oil so better for it. with the mileage I assume it was low prior to you changing it so it cold be a bearing.

It was changed prior to the mileage listed, the last time it was changed was 2yrs ago. I was told the 80/90 with some limited slip added would suffice. Just wanting to see if that was valid.
