Car details: Optra 1.6L VGIS engine, Manual transmission.

Problem: Since last 2 days, engine rpm remains at 2000 Rpm at idle.
Saw the forum talking about cleaning the throttle body or Idle Air Control Valve.
How to do and also know which is IACV?

The service station even without seeing the vehicle said MAP sensor or Throttle position sensor need to be replaced? Is that required?

it could be either what he's said. but it wold hurt to cleanthrottle plate to see if that is it first. normally a tps or map will set a code though unless it is a blocked or leakingvacuum. here is pic off a2.0 optra as you didn't give enginesize. the iac hole if ther eis one will be oblong on the throttle plate hole. clean plate on both sides wipeoff material and put duct work back on as the car wont' run right without it.
