Steering problem

2007 Chevy Malibu. Tough commute into work and all of a sudden my steering wheel is acting like I do not have power steering. What could be the problem? Wheel can go all around and I hear a faint clunk when I move it around. Any ideas and how much it will cost

Cost of an issue that has not beed completely determined is like asking how long is a piece of string. I strongly recommend you seek out a safety inspection straightaway, most of the major repair chains are willing to do this either for free or for a reasonable/nominal fee.
