The driver's side seat belt does not retract. I paid to have a new one installed, now it does not retract. A friend told me he installed his own seat belt on a Honda and there was a small electrical switch that was involved. The dealership is telling me that there is no switch. I just Googled replacing the seat belt on a HHR and it mentioned disconnecting the electrical connector. This car has had electrical problems since I purchased it used, no one can ever figure them out. I want to be absolutely sure that if anything electrical is involved, I know about it. I think maybe it is a computer problem as the lights go out or dim on the speedometer, odometer and clock intermittently. I was told it was the coil under the light sensor, I had it replaced, but it still does it. It used to be the volume on the radio went way down intermittently and I was told I needed to buy a new radio and speakers. I am treated like I am crazy.
