A/C compressor not turning on

Will the air conditioner compressor not come in if the drain is stopped up?

Yes, it will but what will happen is the A/C will work until the evaporator ices up from the water accumulation on the evaporator core.

If it does not come on it can be from low Freon, or an electrical issue.
