engine is stalling while driving and then won't start right back up

This car starts and runs ok but it dies while i'm driving it. at this time when i try the starter it will only click. after about two minutes it will starter it will only click. after app. two minutes it will start and run ok for a while. battery is new and alternator is ok

This sounds like a problem with the positive battery cable which losses connection when hot which is common.

Here are diagrams to help you see how to fix the problem. Its a bit of a job but I have seen this problem before.

i have a 2007 Buick lucerne with the same problem. i have changed the battery because of testing bad, same problem existed replaced ignition switch no problem for about 2 weeks then problem reappeared but not as often, there are no DTC's stored and the problem is hard to duplicate. My mechanic could not find the problem then I ran across this post, all fixed! thanks 2Carpros! you guys are the best.
