The car starts but weirdly with two pushes of the push to start. The first push turns on the light for the hazard light button. I can also hear a clicking coming from the gear shifter. The second turns on the car just fine, no electronics though. Cannot move my seat use the windshield wipers; nothing works. I have to wait 5-7 minutes and then the car chimes and everything works. After it turns on the 4x4 ABS, red brake light, and a yellow triangle with a spinning arrow and an exclamation point inside of it. If anyone has any idea or needs additional information let me know. Thank you.

Hi,

When it starts working, do all the lights turn on? Also, have you checked the battery voltage?

When you press the start button one, is your foot on the brake? The idea you hear the park lock actuator release, sounds like you press it after the fact.

I have seen the battery cause these types of issues. Basically, a weak battery causes the malfunction until the alternator kicks in, and everything receives enough power to operate. It's a theory at this point.

If you haven't already, take it to a parts store and have them first scan the computer for codes. Also, have them load test the battery to see if it is weak.

Let me know what you find.

I will check the battery voltage, and yes, my foot is on the brake the first time, it just doesn’t crank the first time. Thank you for giving me some options. I will let you know once I get it checked out!

Hi,

You are very welcome. Your problem is more involved, but I am dealing with a radio that has a delayed start in cold weather. LOL Things used to be much easier.

Let me know the results and I'll try my best to help.

Take care,

Joe
