Brake lights do not work, including the upper light on tail gate ,replaced the brake switch and still don't work

Did you check for voltage at the brake switch. White wire hot all the time. Lite green goes hot when the brake switch is activated. The voltage circuit is fused, fuse 12---15 amp, underhood fuse box.
Also, there could be a wiring circuit problem. Check for voltage first, use a testlite/voltage tester.
