Noise Coming out in the engine

The noise coming out in the engine is more like a high pitch note. When I remove the dip stick in front of the engine..The one you use to check the level of you engine oil that sound automatically cancels out, But if you put it back the noise comes back again... What seems to be the problem?

the end of the dipstick may be hitting the crankshaft.

either that or there may be pressure or vacuum at the tube, which is not good.

dont know whats wrong with it yet. You are our eyes and ears.

help us out and let us know what it sounds like with my suggestions. Is it a hissing sound?? is it pressure?? or is it the stick hitting the crank??

yes thats the same problem i got..thank you very much... the mechanic that look at it said that i have to change my engine....

guys i just got the report from the vw service centre to confirm the problem that i had. they say that i need to replace my turbo charger...

Well I guess my youtube/google search was wrong... but I doubt it.

Listen to the amount of VACUUM that is coming out of the dipstick tube.

That is WAAAAY too much vacuum... the PCV is the only thing that could
cause this.

A faulty turbo will stay noisy when dipstick is removed and would not be
able to affect the crankcase in a way that would cause excessive
vacuum.

Try to remove the oil filler cap with the engine running. You will
not be able to do so... due to too much vacuum in the crankcase.

Tell them to replace the PCV first... if the noise is still there, then
tell them you will consider the Turbo.

I just told them that but they are very sure that its the turbo...
I'll just buy the parts my self and have a mechanic change it...thanks for all the reply. will update this page when i have it replaced.
