2006 Toyota Vitz Gear Slipping

About 2000km ago i got my CVT Gear Oil changed & now yesterday the gears have started to slip, when I accelerate the engine revs up but the car feels like its in neutral, slowly however it will start moving but wont go above 40km , i attached an electronic meter which showed that when going up a flyover the gears would shift quickly between 1st & 2nd back & forth quickly without resulting in minimal to zero power, the dash lights dont show Check Engine light either

The dealership suggests a gear box change but im skeptical , please advise

Even though the MIL is not indicating, it does ot mean there are no trouble codes. Did you get it checked?

Did you check the CVT fluid level and condition?

Yes I got it checked & there were no error codes but while the electronic testing device was hooked up i drove the car & the gears were shifting from 1st to 2nd & then from 2nd to 1st in a matter of seconds & CVT fluid was changed exactly 2200km ago, iv been driving it on S mode & the car goes upto 60-70kmph but only if i accelerate it at a snails pace, so what do you think shall i get the gearbox changed

If the transmission is up and down shifting too fast, that could be a control problem and replacing the tran might not solve the problem.

Btw for CVT there should be no up or down shifting unless you use manual mode.

If you have manual mode, try using it to test if there are any senation of slipping.

You mentioned replacing the fluid some time back, was the correct fluid grade used? CVT transmission fluid is different from others and the wrong type used can cause problems.

I dont have a manual mode but with the brake applied when I shift from P to D the gear feels like its in place but then while the brake is depressed it feels like the gear has slipped.

For fluid I used a 4 Litre Toyota CVT-TC 08886-02105

The fluid is correct and if it is slipping, most probably the trans has an internal fault and for this transmission, rebuilding is not recommended.
