I rotated my tires and torqued them to specifications. I drove my truck approximately 25 freeway miles and could hear a intermittent thumping noise coming from the left rear. While on the road, another fellow driver got my attention, and warned me that my left rear wheel appeared to be wobbling, though I could not feel it while driving. Keep in mind, I'm no JOE BLOW mechanic, but I sure Am not no pro! Could I have damaged my axle and/or bearing? I stopped by a local Toyota dealership to have them assist me with my dilemna. They told me it was going to cost me $2000.00 to repair it. Keep in mind all i heard was a intermittent thumbing noise,NO GROWLING NOISE LIKE A BEARING WOULD CREATE! and im sure sure i do not have a broken axle,c'mon! AM I BEING SCAMMED? I think so! Please help me with my question, for I'am recently unemployed. Your assistance would be very much appreciated and I would more than gladly pay good money if I could, for your proffesional assistance. THANK YOU, IN ADVANCE p.s. They also told me that my spare tire and wheel didnt fit my truck, Heck, Ive never used my spare since I bought the truck, brand new from the dealership
